One of my favourite kinds of gig, live music, open street, no script and just go. I joined Broomhead from the band Cup Cup for a live street performance collaboration in San Francisco, bringing a puppet into the mix alongside their original music.

There is a particular energy that happens when puppetry and live music collide in a public space. People who were just walking past suddenly stop, do a double take, and find themselves part of something they never planned to be part of.

That moment of surprise and delight is what street performance is all about. Broomhead is a wonderful musician to work alongside and a dear friend. I hope we get to perform again soon.
